Batman is no superhero. He is a regular man with special abilities. And it's not like he has special powers but rather lots of money which he spends on various gadgets in order to stop criminal at large.
He is a criminal too as he acts above the law. But sure we all love him. For whatever reason he is my favorite superhero. Sure I like the other ones too, you know, with real powers but batman is above them all.
And Batman Begins - The Dark Knight is a great movie. It's a hot at the box office with over $155 million in the first 3 days and over $300 million after a week. I've seen it and it deserves the credit. Although there's nothing special in this movie, the story is believable, the effects remarkable and the actors play their parts. I still need a million visitors here...
I was mostly following and analyzing the Joker. Heath Ledger plays his part and does a tremendous job. The Joker is evil, he's paranoid and he is definitely different than what Jack Nicholson did with it almost 20 years ago. Ledger will surely get an Oscar. His death is the ultimate publicity stunt. I think with him alive we wouldn't have had such a box office hit.
But this isn't a review...yet! Tomorrow I am going to go through all Batman movies up to date; a Batman marathon It's fun to see how all this evolved form the Michael Keaton / Jack Nicholson duo that started it in '89 to the first Batman Begins which shows us a detailed version of how it all started.
